Chance Hogan, son of “Crocodile Dundee” actor Paul Hogan, will not face charges following his recent domestic violence arrest, as reported by The California Post.
Chance, the youngest son, was taken into custody at his father’s residence in May on accusations related to domestic assault. However, after the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office evaluated the case, they decided not to file any charges.
On May 1, police arrived at Paul Hogan’s home in Venice, where they responded to reports of a domestic disturbance involving an 85-year-old Hogan and an unidentified woman. They were seen speaking with officers shortly after Chance had apparently left the scene.
Authorities later found Chance and arrested him. He faced a misdemeanor domestic battery charge with bail set at $20,000.
While the legal troubles have been dropped, Chance has had some troubling incidents in the past. Last year, he posted a concerning message online, seemingly in distress, while drinking wine and watching television.
In his posts, he expressed a feeling of despair, saying remarks like, “This is my life. This is how life goes. Please. Kill me. Please.”
Chance is also known as the lead vocalist for the punk rock band Rowdy P, which has appeared in various online posts, including one with him in front of a fire.
Paul Hogan is famously recognized for his roles in the “Crocodile Dundee” series and “Almost an Angel.” He has five children from his first marriage and one, Chance, with his second.
