Unexplained 'Leaving MAGA' billboards appear in key areas of Pennsylvania

Signs that read “Leave MAGA” are appearing throughout central Pennsylvania, likening the movement to a disease, though it’s uncertain who is funding this advertising campaign.

These noticeable signs have been seen in Lancaster, a city that generally leans Democratic but is surrounded by rural areas that supported President Trump.

They have also turned up in several conservative towns in York County, including York, Hanover, and Mechanicsburg.

The billboards direct to a website, LeavingMaga.org, yet inquiries made to the phone number listed on the signs have gone unreturned.

The voice message merely states, “Thank you, we will get back to you as soon as possible.”

Rich Logis, the Executive Director of LeavingMAGA.org, stated that they are not footing the bill for the signs. He mentioned a group that has permission to put up the billboards, but he’s unsure of the identity of someone named Andrew, whose name appears on the sign.

Logis said they plan to add four more signs in areas that largely support Trump.

His organization promotes a “support group for people affected by a loved one’s membership in MAGA.”

A former conservative podcaster from Florida, who used to identify as an “unapologetic Trump and MAGA supporter,” has distanced himself from the movement after voting for Trump twice.

Logis claims that approximately 20 individuals have left MAGA with their help, and about 40 to 50 others have engaged with their online group. “This is a space where people can find ways to handle relationships and relieve the pressure of trying to change their MAGA-supporting friends or family,” he noted.

A March 2025 NBC News poll indicated that more than a third of registered voters identify as part of MAGA.
