‘Unimaginable’: Woman ‘casting spells’ accused of dismembering her mother, cooking her remains in a pot

A Kentucky woman is accused of murdering her mother, dismembering her body and cooking it in a pot until it was “scorched,” authorities said.

Kentucky State Police arrested Trilena Mae Fields, 32, of Mount Olivet, on October 10th.

“Whatever witchcraft was, but I heard she was into it.”

Fields was originally charged with obstruction of government business, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse. But a grand jury added murder and animal cruelty charges on Monday.

The suspect is being held at the Bourbon County Detention Center. Fields' bond was set at $1.5 million.

wolf tv According to the indictment, Fields shot his mother, Trudy Fields, in the head and then stabbed her multiple times between Oct. 8 and Oct. 9.

According to the indictment, Fields is accused of “decapitating the mother's body, dismembering her body, removing her internal organs, and heating her head, legs, and forearms in a pot in the oven until scorched.” lexington herald leader.

The victim reportedly hired a man to work on the property, but no one answered a knock on the front door.

Contractors walked around the property trying to find the owner, but instead encountered a gruesome crime scene, according to court documents.

Workers followed the trail to the back of the house and found a dismembered body, the citation said.

State police said they found a pile of hair, a “bloodstained mattress,” “blood stains on the back door,” and the dismembered body of a woman near the “back door threshold.” quotation. Police said the arms, legs and head had been removed from the body.

The suspect refused to leave the home, authorities said, and a standoff with the suspect reportedly ended around 11 p.m. after officers used tear gas and a police robot. Authorities said a field of blood came out of the home.

Olivia Bullock said the suspect suffered severe brain damage in a motorcycle accident several months ago and could not remember his name or even where he was.

Diana Bullock, the victim's sister, said her family is Christian and will “never stop loving” Trilena Fields despite the heinous accusations.

“We don't disown people, no matter what you do. We love. That's what God says,” Princess Diana said. “I know we love you unconditionally no matter what and we're just going to support the family and that's what we're going to do.”

The Commonwealth argued that Mr Fields was not acting under the influence of “extreme emotional turmoil for which there is no reasonable explanation or excuse”. However, the arrest report stated that Fields appeared to be under the influence of drugs at the time of his arrest.

According to Monday's indictment, Fields is also charged with torturing and killing the dog.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 23rd.
