was assaulted by protesters during Tuesday's incident. However, the USPP FOP says the situation worsened when NPS issued a cease-and-desist order.

“I will not condone the actions of my supervisors that needlessly jeopardize the safety of our officers or the safety of the public.”

USPP FOP Chairman Kenneth Spencer said, “We have learned that the National Park Service's efforts to control this illegal demonstration were put on hold due to concerns about “situation control'' and that officers were ordered to stand down.'' Ta.

“Our nation's brave police officers do not consider political views, ethnicity, race, or other demographics when enforcing the policies we are sworn to uphold. [NPS] They intentionally obstructed our enforcement efforts,” Spencer added.

Spencer said he is considering filing a complaint with the Interior Department's Office of the Inspector General.

He went on to say, “I do not condone the actions of my supervisors that needlessly jeopardize the safety of our officers or the safety of the public,” concluding that the NPS and DOI “should be ashamed.”

The National Park Service did not respond to requests for comment.

“Whoever ordered the USPP to resign should immediately resign or be fired. I call on all members of Congress to demand that the Biden-Harris Administration do its job and enforce the law. I call on you to cooperate with me!” said Congressman Bruce Westerman (R-Arkansas), Chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee.
