The plane heading for Houston reports landing in Waco on Sunday as a result of a turbulent flow that sent five people to hospital.
According to Flight Tracking website Flightaware, United Airlines Flight 5690, operated by SkyWest, on the CRJ-200, which left Springfield, Missouri just before 5pm.

Waco's media outlet reported that multiple flights would need to be diverted to Texas City on Sunday as a result of weather-induced turbulence.
Waco is 90 miles north of the state's capital, Austin, and 90 miles south of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
