A startling video shows two young individuals violently attacking a man on a street in San Francisco, seemingly at random.
The footage begins with a man in a pink shirt and tan shorts, while one of the attackers is seen holding his head, kicking, and striking the victim.
An intervening bystander can be seen trying to help, pushing one of the assailants away and eventually grabbing the first one.
The incident unfolded on a busy street along the Embarcadero on Friday.
Despite the number of people around, the brutality continued until the attackers finally ran off.
San Francisco police confirmed the assault happened near Market Street and Stewart Street on the Embarcadero.
According to police statements, they received information about two juveniles assaulting a man before they fled the scene.
Officers arrived and found an adult male suffering from injuries related to the attack. However, he declined further medical attention at that moment.
Initial inquiries indicated that the victim was simply walking when he was chased down by the young assailants.
During the struggle, a bystander stepped in to help, prompting the suspects to leave the area, heading west on Market Street.
Many who watched the video expressed their outrage over this unprovoked behavior.
“What a shame,” one user commented on Reddit. “We used to hang out at the Embarcadero as teens, and the thought of attacking someone never crossed our minds.”
“Some kids are really going to face consequences for this,” another user cautioned.
A third commenter mentioned, “Good thing I had both guns on me tonight,” indicating a heightened sense of tension in reaction to the violence.
No arrests had been reported by Saturday.
