“Indirect consultations between Foreign Minister Arakich and the Middle East special representative, Dr. Steve Witkov, began with the mediation of Foreign Minister Oman Badr al-Busaidi,” Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai wrote on the X-Post on Saturday.

Baghaei also revealed that representatives from both sides had spoken in separate rooms via Omani mediators.

“These consultations will be held at locations planned by Omani hosts with representatives from the Islamic Republic of Iran and the US sitting in separate rooms, and the parties will communicate their perspectives and positions to each other through the Omani Foreign Minister,” he added.

Both parties spoke for over two hours starting at around 3:30pm local time, and finished around 5:50pm. The era of Israel.

Witkov said Wall Street Journal Friday said, “Our position will begin with your dismantling. [nuclear] program. That's where we stand today. Incidentally, margins do not mean that we will not find any other way to find compromises between the two countries. ”

The talks come when President Trump appeals to Iran to come to the table of negotiations to try to persuade the country from continuing its nuclear program.

President Trump also threatened military action against Iran if negotiation talks collapsed.

“I think if the talks are not successful with Iran, Iran will be in great danger, and they don't like to say that because they can't have nuclear weapons,” Trump recently said.

“I want them to not have nuclear weapons. I want Iran to be a wonderful, great, happy country, but they cannot have nuclear weapons,” he continued.

President Trump also revealed that Israel is involved in any potential strikes against Iran.

“If that requires the army, we're going to have the army,” Trump said Wednesday. “Israel will obviously be very involved in that. They will be its leader.”

Meanwhile, Iran has warned that he will not negotiate under obsessiveness, referring to President Trump's “threatening” language, refusing to acquiesce to “overreaching demands” targeting the nuclear program.

President Trump's strong stance on Iran sparked fierce debate amid the “America First” movement. Many conservative voices argue that the US should avoid a direct conflict with Iran, and that it will drag the US into another devastating, expensive war in the Middle East.

Tucker Carlson is one of the main conservative voices raising concerns, claiming that a direct conflict with Iran will lead to the deaths of “thousands of Americans.”

“Whatever you think about tariffs, it's clear that this is the worst time for the US to take part in a military strike against Iran. We can't afford it. Thousands of Americans will die. Carlson wrote in Monday's X-Post.
