A search is underway for a missing person near the New York coast after a boat carrying six people was eventually killed and two others hospitalized on Sunday.
The U.S. Coast Guard and New York City police and fire departments are involved in the rest of the sailors' recovery efforts.
Coast Guard officials said they were notified at 12:04pm by the operator of New York City 911 about a watery boat near a refreshing spot.
Three rescue teams and an MH65 helicopter were deployed to support rescue operations by the Sandy Hook Pilot and the New York Police Station air forces.

The rescuers were able to retrieve and transport five people. Two were airlifted to Staten Island University Hospital, and three were taken to Coast Guard Sandy Hook.
Four of the five sailors did not respond after CPR was administered. These efforts have been asserted that three people are dead, so one is in a critical state and another is in a stable state.

The sailor's identity has not yet been released as of early Monday morning.

According to FDNY, the sixth person is believed to be still in the water after the boat capsizes.
Authorities are investigating the incident and the cause of the vessel being below.
