US is definitely considering action in Venezuelan territory after destroying drug boats: Trump

Trump Considers Targeting Venezuelan Drug Cartels

In a recent statement, President Trump mentioned he is contemplating actions against land-based drug cartels in Venezuela, following the seizure of approximately six vessels involved in drug smuggling.

“Having gained control over the seas, our attention is now shifting to land,” he remarked during a press interaction in the Oval Office.

“Many drugs from Venezuela are transported by sea, which we know, but we also plan to intercept them on land.”

Previously, Trump had indicated intentions to broaden anti-drug operations to include land targets after initiating airstrikes against Venezuelan ships on September 2nd.

Additionally, the president confirmed he has given the CIA the directive to conduct covert operations against the Venezuelan government within South America.

When questioned about whether he had authorized actions aimed at removing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who is accused by the U.S. of facilitating drug smuggling, Trump responded, “Why would I answer that? But I believe Venezuela is experiencing pressure.”

During the conference, Trump also noted that the Coast Guard targeted a vessel tied to at least 27 alleged “narco-terrorists” after decades of efforts to combat the issue at sea.

He remarked that smugglers utilize high-speed boats, though they aren’t as numerous as missiles.

In a demonstration of military presence, three American B-52 bombers were observed flying off the coast of Venezuela on Wednesday, according to flight tracking data. The Pentagon has not commented on this operation.
