Team USA Celebrates Gold Medal in Hockey

On Monday night, the U.S. men’s hockey team celebrated their recent gold medal victory with festivities in Miami, culminating at the renowned E11EVEN nightclub.

The entire squad was seen riding a double-decker tour bus through South Beach before enjoying dinner at a chic restaurant. After that, they headed to E11EVEN, where drinks flowed and music pulsed throughout the venue.

At one point, players joined others in the club to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” There were over 2,000 fans waiting to get in, and the team was spotted indulging in vodka, champagne, tequila, and beer. Rumor has it they spent more than $150,000 on champagne, which understandably thrilled the surrounding fans.

Connor Hellebuyck, the American goaltender, took the mic to get the crowd cheering for his teammates, even leading a chant of “USA!” Matthew Tkachuk later referred to Hellebuyck as a “savior and secretary of defense.”

This victory marked the first gold medal win for the U.S. since the famous 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team triumphed over Finland, also having defeated the Soviet Union in the semifinals.

Jack Hughes scored the winning goal in overtime, sealing a 2-1 victory against Canada. After their celebration, President Donald Trump invited the team to Washington for the State of the Union. It’s uncertain whether they’ll accept, but Tkachuk hinted that a trip to D.C. might be on the agenda this week.
