Ali Furd's murderer walked freely last month.

Ali was an American who moved to Israel in the 1990s. The father of four gave his life to defend our country's biggest allies, serving in the Israeli army and supporting it in every way possible after retirement. However, in 2018, a Palestinian terrorist walked behind him in the shopping mall and stabbed ant in the back. He survived for a few minutes, long enough to chase the terrorists and even shoot him, but Ali's wounds were too bad. He had died that same day.

Ali's murderer was released from Israeli prison on October 7, 2023 as part of the country's contract for Hamas' revival. It's very unfortunate, but his murderer's family was paid hundreds of dollars a month for killing an innocent American. They benefit from an evil Palestinian program known as the “payment coefficient.”

Ali's loved ones fought back. Thank you An since the 1990s Congressional actsAmerican victims and their families were able to file civil lawsuits against the terrorists who targeted them. In the face of legal challenges, Congress has strengthened the law, particularly through the 2019 “Promoting safety and justice for victims of terrorism.”

American families of terrorism victims can sue those terrorists. The Supreme Court has asked if it is a constitution. Now, on April 1st, the Supreme Court hears debate on whether the law is constitutional. The case is named after Ali Furdo, and his loved ones have asked them to ask for justice with them more than Palestinian terrorists. The judiciary should do so, and support America's ability to stop more terrorists from killing our citizens.

Ali's family is far from the only family that has encountered Palestinian pay fraud. Palestinian authorities alone spend around $350 million a year on the families of terrorists who have killed innocent people, including Americans.

The program is very large, and Palestinian authority has a formal name: “Martist Fund.” The PA recently claimed it had ended its payment for Slay, but its leadership was Since It made it clear that it wouldn't go anywhere. Its very existence encourages more Palestinians to take the murder road. They know that killing as many people as possible, including Americans, will reward their families for years to come.

American victims absolutely deserve the right to sue those who helped and bet this blatant evil. The constitutional case is clear Many legal groups It was shown to the court. The lower court agreed that the US government has legal authority to place criminal liability on foreign groups killing Americans, but found it to be “fundamentally unfair” to advance civil cases. It's not true. Just as we must face consequences in criminal cases, there is nothing unfair about demanding those who murdered Americans face civil penalties for evil behavior.

And the moral case is even more obvious. Americans don't need to worry that if a terrorist kills a son, daughter, mother or father, the terrorist family will be rewarded richly. If that happens, any American should be able to sue anyone, or anyone who is banishing blood money. After all, if someone should be compensated for the murder of an innocent person, it must be a victim. Justice demands less.

For the Supreme Court, this should be a simple decision. However, Parliament also needs to make an effort to complete the Palestinian payments. Congress must quickly pass the PLO and PA Terrorist Payment Accountability Act, written by Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton and New York Republican Rep. Mike Lawler.

The bill would impose strong sanctions on people or organizations involved in paying terrorists to kill innocent people. Palestinian groups, who reward murderers, were thinking about how they, along with foreign supporters, were crippling their finances. American leaders should do everything they can to hold accountable to them and end the killings.

Ali Furd's murderer may be free, but his family's quest for justice should be allowed to continue. Most importantly, American families should not suffer as they have once again.
