She's back!

Olympic skiing legend lindsay vonn On Thursday, she announced she was coming out of retirement to return to the sport and rejoin the U.S. Ski Team. Her intention would be to race again 40 years oldand six years after her last Olympics. (Related: Caitlin Clark may not be good at golf, but she's lucky she's good at basketball)

According to her resume, Vonn has three Olympic medals, including gold in downhill and bronze in super-G, both of which she won at the 2010 Vancouver Games. He won a medal in downhill at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games, and this time he won a bronze medal. In addition to that, she has won four World Cups and eight medals at the World Championships.

On hold until 2023 until we become fellow Americans. Michaela Shiffrin With that, Vonn became the women's record holder with 82 World Cup wins. Shiffrin is still active today and has increased her record to 97. This number ranks first among alpine ski racers in the history of the sport.

I'm glad Lindsey Vonn is back, but I honestly have no idea what's going to happen.

Yes, it could work out, and I hope it does, but the fact is that she has a terrible injury history – broken arm, broken leg, concussion, torn knee ligament, partial knee replacement. Surgery, and not even being able to name all of them – that's what bothers me.

But I hope she proves me wrong about my blogging approach.
