Olympians are looking to win both on and off the field in Paris.
While the United States has come out on top at this year’s Olympics with 30 total medals (but only five gold), it doesn’t seem like the U.S. or other countries are experiencing the same success outside of sports.
Rower Emily Deleman revealed in a recent TikTok that she’s looking to make the most of the Olympics, including romance.

But despite being in the city of love, she was down on her luck.
“The other day I was lying on my cardboard bed recovering… and I was scrolling through TikTok and I saw these girls saying, ‘Hey, change the location to the Olympic Village. Do you want babies?'” Deleman began using TikTok. “And I was like, ‘Whoa, genius,’ because here I am, if I follow the township, this is what happens.”
Deleman said the other players [Tinder] I decided to “up” and download some stuff I hadn’t had in years.
“They were like, ‘Let’s use our new feature to play against professional athletes,’ and I was like, ‘That’s crazy, that’s great,’ but this has to be good,” she continued.

But the app didn’t live up to expectations.
“So I kept scrolling, and I didn’t see any Olympians, and I thought, ‘Okay, something’s wrong with my settings,’ but it’s not. The location, the one-mile radius, I think I’ve only seen two Olympians total so far,” she said.

“Don’t get me wrong, Parisian men are beautiful, chefs kiss, and I don’t know what they’re putting in their water, but I went in with the hope that maybe there would be a future storyline to be found, but unfortunately, it seems we’re all looking for other forms of entertainment, which is why you’re now finding me on TikTok.”
