Students at a school in Utah’s Nebo School District walked out of class Wednesday, claiming they were protesting a growling and biting “furry” at their school.
Video from the protest showed dozens of children holding placards accusing school authorities of ignoring complaints about furry students.
“Furries” are people who dress up as animals, especially cats and dogs, and often act as if they are animals.
A livestreamer named Adam Bartholomew interviewed students outside Mount Nebo Middle School in Payson and posted their accusations on social media.his main video on youtube Lasts 1 hour and 12 minutes.
“These children are mentally ill and they are trying to impose their illness on us,” said one of the girls. She said the children in her costume ranged in age from 10 to 13.
Other children said Furr sprayed the children with Febreze, sometimes even in the children’s eyes.
One child said, “They bite us, scratch us, and bark at us.”
The students said the principal told them to be kind to furries after they complained. They held placards reading “Don’t brainwash us” and “Forced speech is not free speech.”
The children said their parents knew they were taking part in the protests, and Bartholomew admitted that he had been informed about the protests by his parents the night before.
One parent at the protest claimed that his child had videotaped the furry disrupting school and was reprimanded by school officials.

Students who took part in the protests called for fur-bearing animals to be banned from school, and some called for fur-bearing animals to be expelled from school.
Statement from Utah Parents United dealt with Accusations on Facebook.
“It is harmful to children when school rules and dress codes are centered around marginalized groups. It perpetuates a culture of victimhood that negatively impacts our children. ” said the group. “As parents, we must speak out when schools allow disruptive, anti-social and extreme behavior.”
Blaze News reached out to the district’s superintendent and district email but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
In March, a teacher at a secondary school in the Nebo district was recorded indoctrinating students with climate change propaganda by providing them with insects to eat as part of their lessons.
