Utah teen Dylan Rounds’ presumed skeletal remains found as James Brenner faces murder charge

The presumed skeletal remains of a 19-year-old farmer who disappeared over the 2022 Memorial Day weekend were found Tuesday in a remote area of ​​Utah.

Dylan Lowndes was allegedly murdered by his neighbor, James Brenner, 60, who was illegally occupying the property next to the boy’s property in Ruthin, Utah. According to East Idaho News.

“Our hearts go out to the family of Dylan Lowndes,” Box Elder County Police said in a statement.

The Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office is preserving the skeletal remains for “identification.”

Brenner was charged with murder and abuse or desecration of a corpse in connection with the March 2023 slaying. Nine months after Lowndes’ disappearance.
