Vance Offers to Debate Harris, Says Dems May ‘Pull A Bait-and-Switch’

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) offered to debate Vice President Kamala Harris, but added that Harris “probably doesn’t know” she’ll be the Democratic presidential nominee and therefore wouldn’t want to debate.

meanwhile Busy Speaking from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, Vance said of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, whom Harris recently announced as her running mate, “a lot of secrets came out today.”

“Here’s my proposal to Kamala Harris,” Vance said. “If she wants to debate me on August 13th, let her, right? And we should, right? I don’t think she wants to do it again, because number one, she probably doesn’t even know she’s going to be the Democratic nominee, and number two, she doesn’t know who the running mate is going to be. He has a lot of secrets out today. We’ll see if the Democrats pull a bait-and-switch on Tim Walz and Kamala Harris, like they did with Joe Biden.”

Vance’s remarks were made after Waltz Claimed He served in the war, even though he never saw combat during his time in the U.S. Army.

I was in the Army for 25 years and I hunt….I have voted for common sense legislation that protects the Second Amendment, but we can do background checks, we can do CDC checks….we can make sure that the weapons we carry in war are the only place they are stored.

Waltz has also come under fire from veterans and faced defamation charges after it was revealed that a resume posted on his website listed him with a higher rank than he held when he retired.

Waltz served in the Minnesota Army National Guard and retired at the rank of Sergeant Major (E-8). However, his biography on his official website lists a higher rank in which he served briefly, but which was ultimately revoked because he did not meet all of the requirements for that rank. However, his biography suggests that he retired at the rank of Command Sergeant Major (E-9).

When asked if he lied about his military history, Waltz walked away.
