Vanessa Trump has shared some uplifting news: she is now cancer-free after her battle with breast cancer. In a heartfelt video released alongside her daughter, Kai Trump, she revealed this significant update months after making her diagnosis public.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 19-year-old Kai, the granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, posted a teaser of their conversation on Instagram. She mentioned that her mother received her diagnosis back in April, and they decided it was important to share Vanessa’s journey and how she fought through it.
“My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in April, so we thought we’d share her story and how she overcame it,” Kai noted in the video.
To wrap up their video, Vanessa expressed her relief, stating, “And it came back clear, so I’m finally cancer-free.”
In a touching response, Kai exclaimed, “Love you!” clearly moved by the moment.
The video also featured Dr. Nicole Saphier, a former Fox News medical contributor, who talked about the significance of breast cancer awareness and the need for early detection. She mentioned how personal experiences vary and the role social media plays in normalizing conversations about a common disease like breast cancer.
Kai highlighted that she, Vanessa, and Dr. Saphier had a more in-depth discussion about Vanessa’s cancer journey, including prevention and early detection strategies, with plans to share the full conversation on YouTube soon.
Vanessa, who is a mother of five, first disclosed her diagnosis back in May. She shared that she was collaborating closely with her medical team on a treatment plan, expressing gratitude towards her loved ones for their support during this challenging time. “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family,” she said.
Since then, she has received public encouragement, including a message from her daughter Ivanka Trump, who offered prayers for Vanessa’s recovery.
Earlier in June, Vanessa had informed that she was recovering from surgery and about to enter the next stage of her treatment. In an August interview, Kai reflected on the emotional rollercoaster of the preceding weeks, sharing how the experience brought them closer together. She noted, “There was definitely, there was a lot of crying in, like, the week leading up.”
Despite the challenges, Kai remarked on how spending time with her mother turned out to be a “blessing in disguise,” allowing them to bond before her college journey began.
Now, as they both step into this hopeful new chapter, Vanessa’s journey serves as a reminder of resilience and the strength found in support from family and loved ones.
