Vanessa Trump shares initial indication of 'highly invasive' breast cancer and discusses her treatment.

Vanessa Trump shared that the initial sign of her “very invasive” breast cancer was an overwhelming sense of fatigue, something she discussed in a recent interview. The 48-year-old opened up about her experience with her daughter Kai, 18, and Dr. Nicole Saphier during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, revealing that she felt “extremely tired” even when doing simple errands, like going to Starbucks, in the six months leading up to her diagnosis.

Now cancer-free after her MRI showed clear results, Trump pointed out that fatigue can be tricky to spot in patients, as it often gets dismissed as just a typical symptom for mothers.

In her interview, Trump also elaborated on her treatment for invasive ductal carcinoma. She underwent a lumpectomy, which involves the removal of a tumor along with some surrounding healthy tissue, and completed a three-course radiation treatment.

She indicated that her cancer was due to environmental factors rather than genetics and mentioned that she will need scans three to four times a year for the next five to ten years as part of her follow-up care.

Trump promoted the interview on Instagram over the weekend, reflecting on her “long and challenging” journey with cancer. In her post, she expressed immense gratitude for the support she received during this tough time.

She emphasized the importance of encouraging others to take control of their health, schedule screenings, and recognize the value of early detection. “If sharing my experience encourages even one person to get checked, it’s worth it,” she wrote.

As part of her post, she included details about donating to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The carousel of photos featured moments with her daughter Kai and a cheerful snapshot of herself with her boyfriend Tiger Woods.

Vanessa first revealed her cancer diagnosis in May, just a month after it occurred, expressing her determination to work alongside her medical team and stay hopeful, buoyed by the love of her family and friends.

More recently, she mentioned having undergone a procedure and, in June, shared that she spent four weeks recovering from surgery, feeling positive and focused on her treatment’s next phase. In a report from Page Six in July, Kai noted that her mom was “doing good.”
