Milwaukee — Former President Trump has decided on his running mate, but it is not Florida Sen. Marco Rubio or North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.

Multiple sources told Fox News on Monday that Rubio, a three-term conservative senator who was on the shortlist of potential running mates, has been informed he will not be the Republican nominee for vice president in 2024.

Sources also told Fox News that Burgum, a two-term governor of North Dakota and a leading surrogate for Trump, has also been informed that he will not be the former president’s running mate.

According to the Trump campaign, the vice presidential nominee’s first in-person appearance will be at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, when the Republican National Convention gets underway at 4:37 p.m. ET on Monday, just before the voting process for the vice presidential nominee.
