VP J.D. Vance Discusses Marriage Amid Headlines
Vice President J.D. Vance, married to Usha since 2014, recently shared with NBC News that their connection remains strong.
When asked about the headlines surrounding his wife’s missing wedding ring, he responded, “I think he’s kind of provoked.” He acknowledged the ups and downs that come with life, saying, “You accept everything in life, the good and the bad.” He went on to express that their marriage feels stronger than ever, highlighting Usha’s growth in her role.
Usha was seen without her wedding ring last month during a visit to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina alongside First Lady Melania Trump. Media outlets took note, with some jokingly asking, “Is JD sleeping on the couch?”
A spokesperson for Usha emphasized that she is a busy mother of three who sometimes forgets her ring, citing a recent incident where she left it behind after showering. Vance recalled how they were in a rush for an event, and she panicked about the ring, humorously noting they ultimately found it amusing, despite online speculation. “We thought the whole social media viral cycle was kind of funny,” he said.
Vance also discussed the pressures his family faces, acknowledging the challenges that come with public life but asserting that it’s a sacrifice they’ve accepted.
