Victim killed in FSU shooting identified as dad of two, Aramark employee Tiru Chabba

The second victim who died in the Florida State University shooting was identified Friday as a “loving father” to a campus vending worker and two children, according to his family’s lawyers.

Thiru Chaba, 45, an Aramark employee from Greenville, South Carolina, was on campus where he was fatally shot Thursday. NBC Miami reported.

“Tir Chava’s family is experiencing something unimaginable right now,” the Bakari seller’s lawyer told the station on Friday.

“Instead of visiting with friends and family in hiding Easter eggs, they live a nightmare, and this loving father and devoted husband were stolen from them in a meaningless and preventable act of violence,” he said.

The seller now “want to assure that all those responsible for this meaningless act of violence are held to explain,” he said.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Chabba was the regional vice president of Aramark Collegiate Hospitality.

Earlier on Friday, Aramark employee Robert Morales was also identified as one of the victims killed in the mass shooting.

Phoenix Echner, 20, is said to have killed two people and injured five others on Thursday before being shot by officers.
