Victims of Epstein have pointed out additional 'persons of interest,' according to the chair of the House Oversight Committee.

Victims Identify More Persons of Interest in Epstein Case

The Republican Chairman of the House Oversight Committee mentioned that during a meeting on Monday, victims of Jeffrey Epstein named additional individuals of interest in the ongoing investigation.

Rep. James Comer from Kentucky reported that the meeting lasted over two hours, revealing that he had learned some new names. “I learned some additional names today,” he shared with reporters.

He expressed the emotional intensity of the gathering, stating, “There was anger. It was both – I describe it as heartbreaking and infuriating.”

Officials noted they had identified individuals who might hold crucial information about Epstein or were allegedly involved in his sex trafficking activities. Comer added that while some women had shared their accounts publicly, at least two had not come forward before, bringing people to tears in the room.

“That justice has been delayed very long,” said Louisiana Republican Chairman Mike Johnson, echoing the sentiments shared during the meeting.

On the same day, the committee released a substantial trove of documents, totaling 33,295 pages. However, it remains uncertain how much of this information is new.

Colleagues emphasized that the Department of Justice seems committed to creating more records while protecting victim identities and compiling child abuse materials.

In a separate context, former President Donald Trump has been vocal about the Epstein saga, recently calling it a “hoax” that his supporters have unintentionally bought into.

Reflecting on the bipartisan nature of the meeting, Comer remarked, “It was as bipartisan as I’ve seen in the nine years I’ve been here.” Johnson added, “Some of the women in the room began to be groomed by Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, and other women 30 years ago.”

He mentioned that some of these women had filed civil lawsuits against Epstein two decades prior, indicating the lengthy struggle many have faced. “This has been going on for a long time and they shared their stories,” he concluded.
