Victor Davis Hanson Scheduled for Major Surgery
Victor Davis Hanson, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, is set to undergo a significant surgery on Tuesday. At 72 years old, he is well-known as an author, scholar, and conservative commentator, often appearing on Fox News Channel. He revealed the details of his impending surgery during a recent episode of his podcast, “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”
“I’m going to have major surgery, and I have a big problem. I’m going to put in a lot of effort to address it. That’s all I can say,” he mentioned to his listeners.
Hanson mentioned that he chose Stanford Medical Center for the procedure, as he believes it to be the best option available. “The people there are amazing,” he added. “It will work out either way.”
He also touched upon personal observations, stating he’s been receiving feedback from others expressing concern about him not looking well or sounding hoarse. “It’s been a nine-month journey. The issue I faced was tough to diagnose, so it’s no one’s fault. I was diagnosed after a biopsy and various tests, so I’m fine. I think I owe it to my readers and listeners to write a great letter, so I’ll do my best,” Hanson expressed.
Support poured in from many on social media as news of his surgery spread. Over the years, Mr. Hanson has authored numerous articles and books, including the New York Times bestseller “The Case for Trump.” His writings have also featured opinion pieces like “When Liberals Play the Confederates: Portland’s Rebellion Against America” and “Trump and Musk Must Reconcile for America’s Future.”
During his recovery, co-host Jack Fowler will take over hosting duties for “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words” until Hanson is well enough to return.
