Victoria Beckham Embraces New Title Following David Beckham’s Knighthood
Victoria Beckham apparently adopted her new title moments after King Charles honored her husband, David Beckham, with a knighthood.
David, the former soccer star, received this prestigious honor at Windsor Castle on Tuesday for his remarkable contributions to sports and charitable work. Royal customs allowed Victoria to take on the title of Lady Beckham, which she eagerly accepted, according to reports from The Mirror.
The knighthood was part of a special ceremony hosted by King Charles to recognize notable contributions to the community. As a result of this honor, David will now be officially known as Sir David Beckham, while Victoria takes on the role of his ‘lady.’ This recognition follows decades after Beckham was previously named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2003.
So far, Victoria hasn’t updated her social media accounts to reflect this new title, but many are waiting to see if she’ll make it Instagram-official anytime soon.
Victoria clearly enjoyed the occasion and expressed her feelings about the whole experience on social media. She shared that she had “never been more proud” of David, posting a picture of him during the knighthood ceremony.
“David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you were always so proud to represent your country,” she wrote. “There is no one who loves England more and respects the British Royal Family more, on and off the pitch, so to see you honored by the King today is something I will always treasure,” she added. “Even with all your accomplishments, you remain the kind, humble, hard-working man I first met nearly 30 years ago, and the most amazing husband and father.”
Victoria also celebrated the moment in another post, promoting her fashion label by highlighting that David wore the first-ever tailored men’s suit from her atelier—a bespoke three-piece suit inspired by British royal style. “A day we’ll never forget 🤍,” she wrote.
