Jennifer Lewis’s Controversial Video on Racial Violence
Actress Jennifer Lewis shared a striking video on social media, where she passionately makes claims about the violence faced by Black children, arguing that it is largely perpetuated by white individuals.
“Stop killing our children, you son of a bitch,” Lewis began, stating her heartfelt sympathies for families worldwide mourning children lost to hate in the video captioned with her condolences.
Wearing a T-shirt promoting the “International African American Museum,” she firmly stated, “These perverse monsters will be destroyed. Don’t you understand that if this civil war escalates, your own children will also suffer?”
With intensity, she emphasized, “People are gaining more power.” Lewis further challenged, “You can hide your face, but you can’t hide your heart, you coward.”
In closing, she reiterated, “We love our children and the color of their skin.”
The video also contained a hashtag mentioning Nolan Xavier Wells, an 18-year-old from Mississippi who went missing during a Fourth of July boat trip. His body was later recovered by park rangers after days of searching. Friends reported that Wells had chosen to stay behind on the island to talk to a girl.
Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter commented, “It appears he chose to remain on the island with the intention of returning with someone.” He added that the friends are cooperating with the investigation.
Wells’ family has sought answers and engaged attorney Ben Crump for an independent inquiry. Crump expressed concerns over racial bias, presenting images suggesting that if the racial roles had been reversed, the outcomes would have been markedly different. He argued that the investigations into Wells’ death might have taken a different tone had the situation involved different racial groups.
At the end of his post, Crump voiced that should the identities have been swapped, the narrative would have quickly turned criminal, criticizing media portrayals of racial incidents.
