Video Appears to Show Suspects Stealing from Woody Harrelson and Bill Maher’s Cannabis Store

Burglary at Cannabis Store Owned by Bill Maher and Woody Harrelson

A cannabis store co-owned by comedian Bill Maher and actor Woody Harrelson was reportedly burglarized early Saturday morning at around 4:30 AM, with thieves making off with stolen merchandise.

Video captured by Elliot Lewis, a local weed store owner, appears to show a security guard during the following night. It’s suggested the same group may have been involved in a previous burglary at another cannabis shop in Santa Monica. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that five individuals broke into Maher and Harrelson’s store, which is called Santa Monica Boulevard Forest. According to reports, the burglar was donned in a hoodie and broke windows to gain access.

Footage revealed five suspects rushing through the broken window of the store, hastily filling bags with various items. They reportedly stole goods valued between $2,000 and $3,000.

Michael Berman, a co-owner, described the chaos, saying, “They just went in and randomly removed things from the shelf.” He added that although there was confusion from the shattered glass, thankfully, no one was hurt, and damage to the interior was minimal.

Berman expressed his surprise upon noticing one of the suspects seemed quite young, possibly a child.

Woods, the establishment, began operating in West Hollywood about three years ago, as one of over 21 cannabis lounges in the area. The business offers marijuana products along with private smoking rooms where patrons can enjoy various forms of cannabis. They also serve THC-infused drinks.

Lewis referred to the burglars as “Jack Boys” in his video. As of Tuesday afternoon, the identities and ages of the suspects remained undisclosed.
