Los Angeles police are searching for the suspect in a hit-and-run that left a 63-year-old woman with “serious injuries” on Wednesday.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the victim was walking in a crosswalk on September 6th when he was hit by a black Hyundai sedan turning onto Costello Street in the city's Sherman Oaks neighborhood.

“The driver of the black Hyundai did not stop, identify himself or provide assistance to the injured person and fled the scene towards South Costello Road and West Davanna Terrance Road,” police added.

Video released by investigators shows the woman turning her head in both directions as she entered the crosswalk at around 6pm local time.
