Ballistic Missile Attack in Israel

Video footage has revealed the chaotic aftermath of a ballistic missile strike that hit the Ramat Gan area, situated east of Tel Aviv, during Tuesday night. Israeli officials reported at least two fatalities linked to the attack.

The disturbing scenes captured show a car on fire, debris scattered across the street, and the shrill wail of ambulances as paramedics assess the situation.

The missile was reportedly launched by Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guards, who stated they aimed for central Israel as a response to the death of Ali Larijani, a prominent Iranian figure.

According to the Revolutionary Guards, they deployed Khoramshahr-4 and Qadr missiles, asserting these types have improved capabilities to bypass missile defense systems and could potentially overwhelm enemy radar.

Israel confirmed that the two individuals who lost their lives were a couple in their 70s, caught in the destruction of the missile strike.

This attack is viewed as part of a rapidly intensifying exchange of hostilities that began on February 28, following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets that resulted in multiple senior Iranian officials’ deaths, including Larijani and General Gholam Reza Soleimani, head of the Basij militia of the Revolutionary Guards, who was reportedly killed on the same night.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz claims that Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib was also killed, though Iran has yet to acknowledge this information.

In retaliation, Iran has escalated its missile and drone attacks, targeting not only Israel but also U.S.-affiliated locations and energy infrastructure throughout the Persian Gulf—including alleged strikes in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Additionally, Iran has threatened to disrupt shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for global oil trade, which has raised alarm about the potential for a broader conflict impacting regional stability and global energy supplies.
