Video footage reveals Dallas ICE agents safeguarding detainees while gunfire hits the facility.

Surveillance footage obtained by Fox News captures a chaotic scene when ICE agents rushed to protect detainees during a shooting incident at a Dallas facility on Wednesday morning.

In the video, agents scramble for cover in front of two vans, while also ushering detainees to safety. At one point, a handcuffed individual appears to be bleeding from his head.

Shortly after, six agents exited the facility and approached one of the vans. One agent, clad in tactical gear, opened the driver’s side door and seemed to check the back of the vehicle. Two men then jumped into the rear, with one wearing blue rubber gloves asking for assistance shortly after.

Authorities report that 29-year-old Joshua Yarn opened fire indiscriminately from a nearby rooftop, labeling his actions a “target attack” on federal law enforcement.

Tragically, one detainee was killed and two others sustained injuries amid the chaos.

Yarn ultimately died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. On Thursday, the FBI began to share details about his potential motives.

FBI Director Kash Patel noted that Yarn had downloaded a document titled “Dallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management” before the incident, which included a list of Department of Homeland Security facilities.

Yarn’s online activity also showed searches for the term “Charlie Kirk Shot Video” in the days leading up to the event.

Updates on the Dallas ICE Facility Shooting

In August, he was reported to have looked for an app that tracks the movements of ICE agents.

Additionally, he asked if there was a sniper with an armor-piercing round on the roof, expressing a hope that it would instill fear in the agents.

Photos shared by Patel on social media displayed bullets with “anti-ICE” written on their casings.

Nancy Larson, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, mentioned to reporters that this shooting marked the third violent attack in four months against an ICE facility.

She pointed out a note where the shooter claimed: “Yes, it was me alone,” and stated that this part of the investigation seemed accurate so far.
