A video that had previously been taken down featuring far-left Twitch streamer Hasan Piker resurfaced on Tuesday. In this video, Piker unleashed a series of expletives aimed at Vietnamese refugees.
This followed comments by Vietnamese refugee Bach Huc during a livestream. She was reacting to a 2020 BBC segment featuring her, where she outlined her community’s support for former President Donald Trump. “As Vietnamese refugees, we endured suffering under the communist regime,” she stated.
Piker, who has previously referred to communism as the “ultimate goal” of socialism, was visibly irate about her statements. He insulted Huc, telling her to “go back” to South Vietnam and made derogatory remarks about her appearance and commentary, questioning who fared worse—America or Ho Chi Minh. “Why doesn’t she go back and live in South Vietnam under the same conditions?” he added.
Addressing the pushback he received, Piker continued to escalate his attacks, expressing strong disdain for Huc and others who share her views.
The video in question seems to be from one of Piker’s past livestreams, although it’s unclear when it was removed from the platform. Fox News Digital has reached out to him for clarification.
Piker’s influence within the Democratic Party has grown, as he’s involved with prominent candidates like Michigan State Senator Abdul El-Sayed and Pennsylvania State Representative Summer Lee, along with progressive leaders such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Despite Piker’s mounting popularity, he’s faced significant criticism, even being labeled anti-Semitic by some Democratic figures, who have urged the party to distance itself from him due to his controversial remarks and past statements regarding significant events like 9/11 and the conflict involving Hamas and Israel.
