Video of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska's murder on Charlotte train receives no response

There are growing concerns regarding the lack of coverage by liberal media and politicians about the brutal murder of young Ukrainian refugees on a train in North Carolina.

Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old, was fatally stabbed on a Light Rail train in Charlotte. Disturbing surveillance footage reveals the shocking moment she was attacked without warning.

The assailant, DeCarlos Brown Jr., 35, is seen in the footage sitting behind Zarutska, brandishing a pocket knife before getting up and approaching her.

Unaware of the threat behind her, Zarutska was caught completely off-guard.

After the attack, Brown appeared to casually walk through the Lynx Blue Line Train while bystanders seemed oblivious to the violence that had just unfolded close by.

Once he exited the train, he took off his bloody hoodie and calmly awaited the train’s arrival at the station.

However, the incident, which occurred on August 22, has largely gone unaddressed by mainstream media and officials.

The Mayor of Charlotte expressed gratitude towards those who chose not to share the video of the tragic event.

“The video of the heartbreaking attack that took the life of Iryna Zarutska is now available. I’d like to thank our media partners and community members for respecting Iryna’s family’s wishes by not sharing it,” Mayor Vi Lyles stated.

This statement drew backlash, particularly from Republican lawmakers. Rep. Brad Nott criticized the mayor’s response, stating, “Her refusal to openly condemn such preventable violence is appalling. Violent offenders must be held accountable, irrespective of their background.”

The mayor’s office has yet to comment on the situation.

Some commentators noted that this incident reflects a broader national problem regarding lenient attitudes toward repeat offenders.

“The violence in Charlotte mirrors a national crisis. Citizens deserve better than the current leniency towards crime,” remarked Rep. Mark Harris.

Local political figures are also calling attention to the need for increased safety measures in public transit systems in response to the murder.

“I am profoundly disappointed with the current efforts to maintain safety on light rail systems. This issue will only escalate if not taken seriously by the city’s authorities,” stated a former mayor of Matthews, North Carolina.

Following the murder, those who knew Zarutska shared their shock and highlighted the fear she experienced as a war refugee, now facing tragedy in the United States.

Brown, despite his extensive criminal record, was on the streets when he allegedly committed this heinous act.

Police have not yet provided additional comments on the case.
