Bystander video shows a group of New Yorkers cornering an Ecuadorian illegal immigrant and making a citizen’s arrest, then NYPD officers swarming the man and dragging him from under a car after he was arrested for allegedly raping a girl in a park.
Suspect Christian Giovanni Inga Landi, 25, appears in the video covered in blood and shirtless. Police say local residents recognized him from wanted posters linked to the brutal attack. He was arrested on Thursday after allegedly luring a 13-year-old boy and two girls into the woods at Kissena Park with a machete-like knife.
Police allege that after hiding in the bushes, the attackers tied the children’s wrists and raped the girl, before stealing her mobile phone and telling the children to stay still as they made their getaway.

The shocking attack galvanized New Yorkers, who became wary of Ingalandy shortly after the NYPD obtained and released surveillance camera images showing his face.

“Everybody knew who we were looking for,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenney, “We had a tip coming in that actually pointed to the name of the perpetrator. Everybody knew who it was. They’d seen him on the street.”

“Body camera footage showed at least 10 neighbors trying to do the right thing,” Kenney added.

“We’re here every time the rapist comes into the store and we saw him so my friend took the girl and we attacked him,” Forge, a local resident, told Fox News Digital. “He did what he had to do. We arrested him and he hid under a car.”

Police arrived a few minutes later, he said.
of New York Post Police identified the two good Samaritans as Angela Sauletti, 23, and Jeffrey Flores, 24.
“I’ve seen him a few times. He comes here to buy things,” he told the paper outside the deli where the raid took place. “I waited for him. I waited all day to see if he would come. He came at night.”

Police said as many as 10 residents had helped detain Inga Lundy by the time they arrived. The other two involved in the heroic act were 67-year-old Isabel Caizard and Daniel Ramos.

Kenney said the suspect suffered minor injuries after attempting to wrestle the good Samaritan.
Inga Lundy was due to appear in court again on Wednesday for her role in a string of crimes.
Authorities said he entered the U.S. illegally through Eagle Pass, Texas, in 2021 and was arrested and later released.

Authorities say between then and his arrest this week, he had several minor convictions, including for not paying a subway fare and being drunk in public.

He was also involved in a domestic violence incident for which no charges were filed, and it is unclear how he was arrested in Texas.
Inga Lundy faces numerous charges, including rape, kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child.
