Scenes of chaos and violence were caught on camera Tuesday as they quickly escalated during morning rush-hour traffic in Dallas.

According to reports, a 26-year-old Plano man, Angel Zamora Moreno, is suspected of going on a rampage on the LBJ Freeway, side-slamming into several cars, stabbing a man, hijacking multiple vehicles and striking drivers.

“I’ve been through some crazy moments in my life, but certainly never anything like this,” witness Jonathan McCain told local news station FOX 4. “This is something that all of us will never forget.”

According to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by FOX4, the incident began when Moreno crashed into three cars and an 18-wheeler truck, causing his vehicle to become disabled.

When drivers stopped to assess the damage, Moreno allegedly began attacking people with an eight-inch fixed-blade knife he removed from the trunk of his car.

“He got out of his vehicle, went to the rear trunk, opened the trunk and opened a red toolbox, and at that point he had a knife,” said McCain, whose car was struck on the side during the incident.

Moreno is believed to have jumped onto the windshield of the driver’s vehicle, causing $500 in damage.

The other driver, armed with a metal pipe, tried to intervene but was subsequently stabbed in the stomach and the side of the ear, police said, according to FOX 4.

A nearby driver attempted to transport the stabbing victim to a hospital but was pursued by Moreno, who allegedly hijacked a nearby Texas Department of Transportation truck.

Authorities said Moreno then allegedly ran over a Texas Department of Transportation worker with the same truck, causing injuries to the worker’s leg, knee and wrist.

“And after he hit the Texas Department of Transportation truck, he went through it and hit us, and then he turned around and he hit the Texas Department of Transportation worker himself,” McCain told FOX 4.

When nearby medical personnel left their vehicle to treat the injured Texas Department of Transportation employee, Moreno allegedly jumped into the vehicle, which was unoccupied.

The man then allegedly ran the medical worker over with her vehicle, dragging her across two lanes of traffic.

Authorities said another witness then ran up to Moreno and reached inside the vehicle to try to turn off the engine of the vehicle he was driving.

McCain said Moreno tried to run away, but several people were able to subdue the 26-year-old until police arrived.
