Video: Tom Homan says the Democrat accused of attacking an ICE agent should be arrested

Democrats Called to Account for Actions at New Jersey Detention Center

In a recent interview, Tom Homan, a former official in the Trump administration, suggested that Democrats who allegedly assaulted federal agents at a detention facility in New Jersey should face arrest.

Homan emphasized that while he values Americans’ right to protest, criminal actions should not be tolerated. He stated, “No one is above the law. These individuals put their lives at risk daily. We need to support them, not attack them.”

When asked whether he thinks lawmakers caught on camera should be arrested, Homan firmly responded, “If you attack an officer, absolutely.” He reiterated that everyone must respect the law, particularly in situations where safety and security are at stake.

The mayor of Newark was reportedly taken into custody after attempting, alongside a Democratic member of Congress, to access the detention center. Many conservative voices are calling for criminal charges against the Democrats involved.

“This is a facility that handles some serious cases,” Homan remarked. “Keeping control is paramount; losing it could compromise safety, and that’s simply unacceptable.”

Homan continued: “I believe in supporting reforms, but it’s crucial not to cross over into illegal activities. Show support for protests, sure, just keep it legal. You can support sanctuary policies, but overstepping could lead to repercussions.”

Earlier in the day, Blaze Media’s Julio Rosas confronted Rep. Ramonica McQuiver, a Democrat from New Jersey, who avoided his questions by hiding behind her aides.

Democratic representatives assert that members of Congress are entitled to access certain federal facilities as part of their legislative duties.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries strongly opposed the idea that Democrats involved in the protest at the detention center should face arrest. He stated, “We aren’t intimidated by their tactics. Opposition will try to stifle their stance, but we won’t back down.”

Jeffries added, “There’s no fear here – that’s a clear line they shouldn’t cross.”
