Wisconsin Teacher Placed on Leave After Disturbing Comments
A teacher from Kaukauna High School in Wisconsin has been put on administrative leave following unsettling remarks made online about presidential assassins. This comes on the heels of a shooting incident that occurred during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Patrick Meyer expressed a rather shocking sentiment, stating that those who killed U.S. presidents must be “rolling in their graves” after the recent events at the dinner in Washington, D.C., attended by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, as reported by Fox News.
In his post, Meyer said, “I’m not impressed with presidential assassins these days. It’s kind of embarrassing! Booth, Guiteau, Czolgosz, and Oswald must all be spinning in their graves! MAGAA (Make Americans Great Assassins Again)! So sad!”
In response to his comments, the Kaukauna Area School District announced his administrative leave and emphasized its commitment to a safe learning environment, noting that any comments or actions that might incite violence will not be tolerated.
During a school board meeting on Monday, several community members expressed their concern. One resident questioned the appropriateness of such comments in schools, asking, “Where in the world have we become as a society that this is happening in our schools? How is that acceptable to Kaukauna and to the people who pay so much tax money for these schools?”
Another parent made it clear that their child would not be educated by someone who advocates violence, stating plainly, “No matter what happens, my child will not be taught by Mr. Meyer.”
In related news, the individual suspected of a recent assassination attempt, Cole Thomas Allen, described himself as a “friendly federal assassin” and has been charged with trying to kill President Trump.
On “The Alex Marlowe Show,” Breitbart’s editor-in-chief commented on the climate of violence in politics, arguing that the Democratic Party has, in some ways, normalized such behavior, suggesting that they won’t stop until Trump is dead.
Additionally, following the death of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk during a lecture last September, some educators publicly celebrated his murder. This led to further investigations, suspensions, and firings across various schools, as reported by Breitbart News.
