Unexpected Incident at Grocery Store

Recently, an unusual incident unfolded in a Pennsylvania grocery store involving a woman who was seen naked while pushing her dog in a stroller, according to a police report.

The White Oak Police responded to calls about an “angry woman” at a Giant Eagle supermarket in the Pittsburgh area. Witnesses indicated that she was throwing merchandise inside the store.

The surveillance footage, as described by officers, showed Tammy Canuto, 53, from North Huntingdon, aggressively tossing items around while customers attempted to shield themselves from her actions.

There were reports of her having injuries on her face during the chaos.

At one moment captured on video, as a store employee tried to calm her down, she reacted violently, kicking him in a sensitive area, which elicited gasps from bystanders. Disturbingly, she also allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior towards the employee.

A concerned shopper shouted at her, “You better stop!” as others intervened. Eventually, Canuto ended up naked. Later, she reportedly attacked a female customer on her way home, inflicting a bite on the woman’s hand that led to a stab wound.

The police noticed damage and disarray throughout the store due to the incident. They mentioned that no other victims had made themselves known yet, but there’s a belief someone else may have been affected.

A local news outlet shared footage of the event on YouTube.

The dog in the stroller, identified as a West Highland White Terrier (Westie), is reported to be safe and healthy. Rescue groups are now working to find a home for the dog, looking for relatives of Canuto.

Canuto has been charged with assault, indecent exposure, harassment, and disorderly conduct. She is currently held in the Allegheny County Jail.

In the aftermath, shoppers expressed shock at the incident. One customer, Mary Sutton, remarked, “I hope she gets the help she needs. When something like that happens, you can’t get involved.”
