Vikings to play in Ireland and the UK for two consecutive weeks in the 2025 NFL schedule

This season, the NFL has revealed its international schedule, announcing that games will be taking place in Brazil, the UK, Germany, Ireland, and Spain.

In a notable move, the Minnesota Vikings will become the first NFL team to play in consecutive overseas games. They’ll kick things off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Croke Park in Dublin on September 28th, slated for 9:30 AM, airing on NFL Network.

Mark Wilf, the Vikings’ owner, expressed excitement about this opportunity. He mentioned that playing in Ireland’s inaugural NFL game is a chance to engage new fans and expand the global reach of football. The matchup against the Steelers, a well-known franchise, adds a unique twist to the excitement.

Wilf stated, “We’re honored to be part of this historic event and are eager to create an electric atmosphere at Croke Park.”

Following that, the Vikings will square off against the Cleveland Browns the next week at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, also starting at 9:30 AM ET.

Wilf added that their experiences in London have always been memorable, and being the first team to play international games back-to-back is something they cherish. He noted, “We’ve built a strong connection with our fan base there, and we hope to recreate that home-field feel.”

The Vikings played their first overseas game against the Steelers back in 2012, during the initial season when the NFL hosted multiple games in London. They also faced the Browns in 2017 and returned to play the New Orleans Saints in 2022.

Last season, the Vikings recorded a win against the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
