Fights and shouting erupted in New York City’s Washington Square Park on Sunday after a packed Pride parade.
The end of so-called “Pride Month” saw many people punching each other and scratching each other’s hair, with bystanders filming on their mobile phones. New York Post report Monday.
Video footage show One woman punches another and throws her to the trash-strewn ground, and minutes later another woman is seen grabbing the victim by her long hair and punching her repeatedly in the face, according to footage from Freedom News TV.
Two men can be seen punching each other and attempting to rip each other’s clothes off, while a woman can be seen fighting another individual later in the footage.

police Open An investigation has been launched after a man was shot after authorities closed off the park, ABC7 News reported Monday.
The shooting victim was shot in the buttocks and hand and was recovering in hospital. “A total of 22 people were arrested during the Pride event and its aftermath. Sixteen were cited and released, while six were charged and remain in custody,” the media outlet’s reporter said.
Additional Video Footage show People were seen twerking on top of cars as police tried to break up the rally.
“Washington Square Park is now closed. You are being asked to leave the park,” an officer said over a loudspeaker.

Prior to the mass brawl, New York City was celebrating its 54th annual Pride Parade in Greenwich Village. post The article said:
“During the celebrations, anti-Israel protesters briefly blocked the march, but were later taken away by police near the historic Stonewall Inn, considered the birthplace of the gay rights movement,” the outlet noted.
