Violent pair pummels, stomps on woman, 82, in apparently unprovoked NYC attack: cops

Police say two thugs brutally beat an 82-year-old woman in the Bronx on Friday for no apparent reason.

According to police, just after 7 p.m. on August 2, an elderly man and woman were approached by an unknown man and woman at the intersection of East 212th Street and White Plains Road in Olinville.

Police said the assailants punched the elderly woman multiple times without saying a word, threw her to the ground and stomped on her repeatedly.

Police say the unusual pair fled east on East 212th Street toward Holland Avenue.

The woman, in her 80s, was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.

The New York Police Department released photos of the two suspects, who remain on the run.

The male suspect, described as being of medium build and dark skin, was last seen wearing a white polo shirt, blue shorts and grey and black sneakers.

The woman is described as of medium build, with medium skin tone, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, white sneakers and carrying a black crossbody bag.
