A significant brawl erupted on suburban Long Island, involving around 20 members of rival biker groups in violent confrontations across two towns, resulting in four stabbings and seven individuals facing riot charges.
The conflict reportedly escalated at the Phillips 66 gas station in Lindenhurst following an initial incident at 1683 Sports Bar & Grill in West Islip on Sunday afternoon.
About five miles away from the bar, the second round of fighting turned into a full-scale street brawl. Witnesses, including a gas station attendant, described the scene with drawn knives and blood spilling into the streets.
Five men were hospitalized due to life-threatening injuries.
Suffolk County police reported that four individuals suffered stab wounds, while another sustained numerous injuries from blunt force trauma to his body and face.
Seven unidentified men received a second riot charge and were issued tickets.
Detectives emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and warned that more serious charges, like assault, weapon possession, and even attempted murder, might be forthcoming.
Authorities confirmed that the individuals involved were motorcyclists, but claimed the violence was not connected to gang or club affiliations without providing further details.
The identities of those involved have not been disclosed as of Tuesday afternoon.
