Viral fan who called Kevin Durant a ‘b—h’ says it was ‘just a joke’

Two Dallas Mavericks fans are making headlines for their reactions after Kevin Durant approached them after a heckler on Thursday night.

The man in the viral video admitted to calling the two-time NBA champion a “shithole,” but it was the woman’s reaction to being left high-fiving that became a meme.

Luke Browner said he called Durant by name because his late friend Luke called him that because he was upset that Durant left the Golden State Warriors in 2019. A game to honor Luke.

But Durant wasn’t satisfied with the hecklers, and security threatened to kick them out. However, Durant actually persuaded the guards to leave them alone.

Browner seemed blindsided by Durant’s approach to them, saying it was “just a joke,” but clearly not realizing that athletes are people too.

“I don’t want to justify what was said,” Browner said. KEGL Radio in Texas. “But I would like to provide some context. … It was just a joke to us, but we forget the humanity of the person on the other end of the joke.”

But Browner seemed satisfied with what he had done.
