Bulls rookie Noah Esenjou might find himself haunted by Pacer Johnny Farfee in his dreams.
During a recent NBA Summer League game between Chicago and Indiana, Esenjou was on the receiving end of a shocking dunk by Farfee, which captured attention across the basketball community.
A WNBA star even took to her Instagram story to share a viral image of the dunk, where Farfee slams the ball into the basket, likely stirring up some memorable memes.
Since being drafted first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Caitlin Clark has become a Pacers enthusiast and has frequently been seen courtside as the team made its way to the NBA Finals.
Pacers player Tyrese Halliburton also chimed in, posting on social media to refer to the 20-year-old Australian as “favorite player of his favorite player,” playfully calling him “Johnny midfielder Farfee-Cheesh.”
Many fans joined in on the banter, humorously captioning images of Esenjou’s stunned reaction to the dunk.
One fan joked, “He has to retire,” while another remarked, “Noah will never live this down.” A third noted, “Noah Esenjou hit rock bottom without even playing a minute of the regular season.”
Despite the setback, the Bulls and Esenjou had the last laugh, with Chicago securing a 114-105 victory and Esenjou contributing 21 points on a solid shooting night.
The Pacers picked Farfee in the second round of the 2024 draft. Although he had limited playtime last season due to an Achilles injury, he’s looking to bounce back this year with Halliburton, also recovering, by his side.
The Bulls selected the 18-year-old power forward Esenjou from France this year, giving him the 12th overall pick.
