Missing Coach Sparks Concern in Local Community
The head football coach at Virginia Union High School, Travis Turner, is reported missing, creating unease around what was thought to be an undefeated season for the team. At 46 years old, Turner was last seen by Virginia State Police on a Thursday and was classified as a missing person on Sunday.
He was noted to be wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and glasses when he was last spotted.
According to state police, troopers visited Turner’s home in Appalachia, Virginia, responding to a non-descript complaint, but he was not present when they arrived. Turner’s wife, Leslie, shared in a now-deleted social media post that he was “missing and that’s all we know.”
