A Virginia man has been charged after authorities caught him loading homemade explosives into a stolen car on New Year's Day.
Jordan Alexander Sweetman, 19, of Arlington, is charged with obstruction of justice, possession of burglary tools, wearing a mask to conceal identity, driving without a license, and manufacturing and possession of explosives.
On January 1, Warren County authorities responded to a 911 call about a man wearing a ski mask throwing items out of a suspicious-looking dark-colored Honda with no license plate, according to a press release from the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
Police later spotted a vehicle matching the description given by the 911 caller at a 7-Eleven in Linden, about 110 miles from Washington, D.C., and detained Sweetman as he attempted to flee the scene on foot.

Sweetman is being held without bail at RSW Regional Jail in Warren County.
