A 32-year-old suspect was arrested five days after he allegedly stole an ambulance from a Virginia hospital where a man wearing a hospital gown and an IV in his arm was being treated.
Ricky Rowe was arrested Friday and served on a warrant for grand larceny after detectives spotted him near his hotel in Manassas, Virginia, Fairfax County police said in a news release Saturday. .
Lowe was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla that was reported stolen from a Manassas residence Monday, allegedly driven by Xavius Romoance Marlowe, 29.
Police said Marlowe, Rowe and three other passengers were taken to Fairfax Hospital after Marlowe crashed the car, and then Rowe stole the ambulance.

“Even though he had not yet been discharged from the hospital, he left treatment with an IV in his arm, jumped into a private transport ambulance and stole it,” police said in a statement earlier this week.
Lowe was released from the hospital and charged with grand theft. He is being held without bond.
