Visa Cash App RB F1 Team makes key hires ahead of 2024 season

The F1 team formerly known as AlphaTauri has adopted a new name for the 2024 season.

Currently, they have several new faces in key positions in the organization.

As previously mentioned, the team will now compete under the new name Visa Cash App RB F1 Team, a move announced last week. While the move may be notable for its reminders of the sport and F1, the move announced by the team on Monday is notable for what it means for the teams at the track itself.

The team introduced three important additions to the organization. This is a move that could benefit the team this season and beyond. The first is the appointment of Tim Goss to the new role of Chief Technology Officer. Goss most recently served as technical director of F1’s governing body, the FIA. Goss has extensive F1 experience gained during his years at McLaren, where he rose through the ranks from assistant race engineer to become head of vehicle performance, chief engineer, engineering director and technical director in 2013.

“I am excited to join Visa Cash App RB at the beginning of a new competitive era,” Goss said in a statement released to the media. SB Nation. “This team has great pride and tradition, and we already have a great group of people, and I’m looking forward to working with Team Principal Laurent Mequise and Technical Director Jody Egginton. We have an exciting challenge ahead of us, and I think our team is ready to meet it head-on.”

He is scheduled to join the team in October.

In addition, Guillaume Cattelani joins the team as Acting Technical Director, reporting to Egginton. Catellani has over 15 years of his F1 experience and comes from Red Bull, where he most recently served as chief engineer.

“It’s great to have this opportunity to take the Visa Cash App RB team’s competitiveness to the next level,” said Catellani. “I’m really looking forward to working with Jody and all the other members of the technical team to develop a car that will take the team forward and take us to the front of the grid.”

Finally, Visa Cash App has added Alan Perman as the team’s new racing director, who will report to incoming team principal Laurent Mequise. Mr Permane has over 30 years of his F1 experience, most recently serving as Alpine’s Sporting Director, a position he held for over 10 years.

“After several months of downtime, it’s great to be back racing with the Visa Cash App RB team,” Permane said in the team’s announcement. “From years of experience, I know how professional, motivated and competitive the members of this race team are, and I am excited to see where that spirit will take the team in the future.” I can’t wait.”

For the incoming team principal, the move signals the team’s technological progress in 2024 and beyond.

“The appointments of Tim, Guillaume and Alain add a huge amount of winning expertise to the team and I have no doubt that they will help take the team to the next level in F1,” said Mekies. said. “We already have a very strong and experienced group in our team and the addition of highly skilled individuals like Tim, Guillaume and Alain to the team increases our capabilities and Visa Cash App RB helps us meet the highest technical standards of the F1 team, both at the factory and on the track.”

There is reason to believe that Visa Cash App will take a step forward in 2024. They are starting with two experienced drivers in Hiroki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo, and given the upcoming reports, the team’s relationship with Red Bull could grow as well. The team plans to use many components from last year’s flagship package, the RB19.

With these additions, including the addition of Catellani directly from Red Bull, there is reason to believe that the team can take a big step forward.
