Visas of foreigners celebrating Charlie Kirk's death are revoked by the State Department

The State Department announced on Tuesday that the U.S. is not required to welcome foreign nationals who express intentions to harm Americans. This comes alongside the revelation that six individuals had their visas revoked for making disturbing remarks regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The agency emphasized that the Trump administration intends to take measures against those who celebrated Kirk’s death. They stated, “The State Department continues to identify those holding visas who applauded the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk.” They affirmed, “Foreigners who exploit American hospitality to celebrate violence against our citizens will face expulsion.”

Among those affected is an unnamed individual from Argentina who claimed Kirk “spent his life promoting racist, xenophobic, and misogynistic rhetoric” and asserted that he deserved to suffer. A South African national also ridiculed Americans grieving Kirk, stating they were “hurt that a racist rally ended in an attempted martyrdom,” while another person from Mexico remarked that Kirk “died as a racist, died as a misogynist,” suggesting that “some people deserve to die.”

Comments continued with one German stating, “Democrats don’t complain when fascists die,” and a Brazilian adding that Kirk had incited Nazi rallies in his honor.

Responding to such sentiments, Vice President J.D. Vance and other officials called on the public to speak out against offensive comments regarding Kirk on social media. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau remarked last month that “foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country.”

In addressing the situation, a Paraguayan commented, “Charlie Kirk was the son of B—- and he died according to his own rules.” The State Department concluded its communication regarding these individuals with a formal “visa revocation.” Landau expressed his disgust over how certain individuals on social media are treating this incident, reiterating an invitation for the public to report such comments to aid the department in safeguarding Americans.
