Watauga Home Prank Leads to Police Warning

A person sporting a Joe Biden mask turned up on a homeowner’s doorstep in Watauga, Texas, creating a rather peculiar scene involving a banana snack. The incident, which took place on October 18, attracted police attention and sparked a reminder from authorities about the potential risks of pranking.

Video captured by the doorbell camera shows this individual, who remains unidentified, approaching the home while clad in the Biden mask and wearing a “FREEDOM” T-shirt, reminiscent of those linked to Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA. The person momentarily interacts with the camera and, surprisingly, eats a banana while still wearing the mask before leaving the scene.

Watauga police received a report about suspicious activity around 8:05 p.m. After reviewing the video footage provided by the homeowner, officers concluded that there was no evidence of a crime.

Interestingly, a search of the nearby area yielded no trace of the masked visitor.

The police, acknowledging reports on social media about similar sightings, stated that no further direct complaints had been filed regarding this individual. No related incidents have been officially identified, either.

While this particular occurrence didn’t lead to any criminal charges, authorities emphasized that actions aimed at being humorous could sometimes provoke serious reactions. In fact, they advised the public to report concerning behavior rather than confronting someone directly.

“We encourage everyone to be cautious,” the police department said. “What might seem like a lighthearted joke or prank can sometimes cause unnecessary alarm for others.”

The reasoning behind the visitor’s appearance and their identity remains unclear. Police reiterated that, based on the evidence they’ve reviewed, they found no indication of any criminal activity.
