Voting Machines Malfunction in Three Republican Districts of NJ on Election Day

Early Tuesday morning, voting machines malfunctioned in three precincts in New Jersey, as reported by Scott Pressler from Early Vote Action.

Just before 8 a.m., Pressler shared via X that there were issues with the machines in three Republican districts within Cumberland County.

“We’ve got machines down in three red districts in Cumberland County, New Jersey. We’re currently contacting the Department of Justice,” he stated.

Other conservatives on social media amplified the news, urging citizens not to overlook their voting responsibilities.

“Machines broke down in various locations across Cumberland County, where Republicans are polling significantly higher than expected for the 2024 elections. Isn’t that concerning? But don’t let it stop you from voting!” remarked Eric Daugherty from Florida Voice News.

Turning Point USA’s Public Relations Officer Andrew Corbett echoed Daugherty’s sentiments, emphasizing that voting machines were down in three conservative precincts. “We’ve seen pranks, but don’t let that deter you! We’ll keep you posted as updates come in… please vote,” he added.

Pressler later noted that it seems some of the issues have been sorted out, and voters are now able to cast their ballots.

“I just spoke with @TestaForNJ. He successfully voted in Cumberland County. Some areas that had issues are back up and running. Please head back to your polling place and vote. The situation has been resolved,” he wrote.

He also shared a video of Down Township Mayor Michael Rossman discussing the malfunctioning machines. Rossman mentioned that some voters were turned away and didn’t receive provisional ballots, expressing his frustration that these individuals were unable to exercise their right to vote.

“We’re facing numerous problems with this system right now,” he stated.

According to Breitbart News, this incident coincides with tight race between New Jersey Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli and Democratic candidate Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.), as recent polls suggest a close contest.

In an interview with Breitbart News Saturday, Pressler indicated that New Jersey had one last opportunity to get its gubernatorial election right.

“I’ve talked to so many people who’ve said, ‘If I don’t win, I’m leaving. If I don’t win, I’m moving out of New Jersey,’” he reflected. He encouraged voters to support Jack, noting that if he doesn’t win, many Republicans could potentially leave the state if Mikie Sherrill and the Democratic leadership continue to impose heavy property taxes on New Jersey residents.”
