Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the Republican and Democratic vice presidential candidates respectively, are scheduled to debate in New York on Tuesday night, marking the last major debate between the two major powers. It has the potential to become a large-scale event. The political parties involved are just over a month away from the November 5th election.
The debate, moderated by CBS News' Norah O'Donnell and Margaret Brennan, will begin at 9 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on most major television networks.
Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates, respectively, have not agreed on the terms of a second debate after facing off on September 10, making the event one of the first of the year. It may be the last word in the debate. From two campaigns. Some in the establishment, particularly the Harris campaign, including Harris herself, are desperately trying to get Trump to agree to a second debate with her, but it is unlikely that Trump will be satisfied with his position in the race. It seems unlikely that he would do so, given the fact that Yield to the Democratic Party's proposal.
So on stage Tuesday, it will be up to Vance and Walz to each do their best to represent their tickets to voters. The discussion comes hours after the Islamic Republic of Iran fired missiles into Israel, forcing all civilians into shelters, and as Israel wiped out long-time leader Hezbollah in Lebanon. The event comes amid rising tensions and ongoing wars in the Middle East. The fight against Hamas in Gaza. Also, Russia's war in Ukraine continues to drain U.S. tax dollars and, according to Department of Homeland Security statistics, thousands of immigrant murderers and tens of thousands of immigrant criminals have hit record crime rates in Ukraine. This is partly due to the fact that crime rates here in the United States have reached historically high levels. US.
What's more, most important to voters this election is that the economy continues to struggle, with Harris at the helm of the country alongside incumbent but outgoing President Joe Biden. Joe Biden is the incumbent commander-in-chief, and Harris and other Democrats pushed him aside when Biden exploded inside Congress. He held a debate with President Trump in late June. Longshoremen union members are currently on strike over Harris and Biden's failure to cooperate in negotiating an agreement, seriously threatening an already struggling economy, and confronting Harris' intransigence and Biden's failure to cooperate. for his failure to adequately respond to the effects of Hurricane Helen in North Carolina, Georgia, and other locations causing further damage to the nation.
Given the complete failure of ABC News' David Muir and Lindsey Davis to moderate the Trump-Harris debate earlier this fall, expectations for O'Donnell and Brennan are extremely low. There are reports that CBS may even display QR codes on screen during the debate, directing viewers to a website where its reporters will “fact-check” debate remarks live. Knowing the side media, this will almost certainly happen. It is weighted against Vance in favor of Walz.
As for the actual vice-presidential nominee, Walz has a deep history of lying about his background — from claiming to have served in the military when he never took part in combat, to claiming to have served in the military when he never took part in combat, to being involved in the Tiananmen massacre in China. He would claim to have been in Asia at the time of the incident, or even lie further about himself. He is the front and center of any fair discussion. Given Walz's history of supporting amnesty for illegal aliens and other highly radical and extreme ideas, his “snobbish attitude,” as Harris' aides and establishment media regularly call him, The same could be said of Mr. Waltz's extremely radical policy record regarding policies that go against the law.
Additionally, Vance's powerful story of rising from poverty to the upper echelons of American society in a short period of time will be conveyed on stage Tuesday. Vance, known for his agility in debates and interviews, could try to reduce Walz's size and at the same time use his large national audience to directly heat up Harris beyond Walz. is high.
